Delete Your Cheffy Account

This page explains how to delete your Cheffy account and all associated data. Cheffy is a mobile meal-planning app — you can request deletion directly from within the app, via a web form, or by emailing our support team.

Option 1 (recommended): Delete from within the app

  1. Open Cheffy on your device.
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon on the home screen).
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm your decision when prompted.

Your account and associated data are removed immediately, and you'll be signed out.

Option 2: Request deletion via web form

If you can't access the app, fill out our account-deletion request form: Request Account Deletion.

Include the email address associated with your Cheffy account. We'll confirm receipt within 2 business days and complete deletion within 30 days.

Option 3: Email us directly

Send an email to hello@cheffyapp.recipes with "Delete My Account" in the subject line. Include the email address associated with your Cheffy account.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following is permanently removed:

  • Account credentials (email, password, OAuth links)
  • Profile information and preferences
  • Saved recipes (favorites, custom-created, and AI-generated)
  • Meal plans and shopping lists
  • Ratings and reviews you've submitted
  • Usage analytics tied to your account identifier

What is retained

For legal, tax, and fraud-prevention purposes, we retain the following for limited periods:

  • Subscription transaction records — as required by applicable tax and accounting regulations.
  • Anonymized aggregate analytics — cannot be linked back to you; retained for product-improvement purposes.

Timing

Deletion requested from within the app is processed immediately. Requests submitted via the web form or email are processed within 30 days, and you'll receive a confirmation email when complete.
